Z650RS gets new color for 2026

Debuted in 2021, the Kawasaki Z650RS carries forward the brand’s legacy of blending classic styling with modern performance in a middleweight package. For the 2026 model year, Kawasaki refreshes the Z650RS with a new colorway inspired by the 2021 Z900RS, giving the retro-modern roadster a familiar yet refined look.

Besides the new color scheme of the 2026 Z650RS, which is reminiscent of the 2021 Z900RS, the bike also blends heritage styling with contemporary engineering inspired by Kawasaki’s iconic “Zapper” sports model of the past.

From its bullet-shaped twin meters positioned above the round headlight to the teardrop fuel tank, slim seat, and sculpted tail cowl, the Z650RS exudes a distinctly retro silhouette that pays tribute to Kawasaki’s classic design lineage.

Weighing just 188 kg, the Z650RS features a diamond frame that uses the engine as a stressed member, contributing to its lightweight and agile handling. The frame’s trellis structure, which is Kawasaki’s signature design, delivers an ideal balance of rigidity and flexibility for confident performance on the road.

Power comes from a liquid-cooled, four-stroke parallel-twin engine shared with the Ninja 650 and Z650. The unit produces a maximum torque of 63 Nm at 6,700 rpm, offering strong pull from low to mid-range and smooth acceleration even at higher revs. The addition of Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC) further enhances ride stability and usability.

Combining nostalgic styling with modern technology, the 2026 Kawasaki Z650RS promises to appeal to riders who appreciate both performance and timeless design. Japanese release date will be November 15, 2025, with an SRP of JPY 1,089,000 (roughly PHP 417,650), while Philippine availability and pricing will be announced soon by Kawasaki Motors Philippines.
