Moto Morini revives 1980s model with the new Kanguro 300
Moto Morini has reignited the spirit of adventure with the Kanguro 300, a compact and lightweight dual-sport motorcycle that pays homage to one of the brand’s most iconic names. Designed to blend simplicity, versatility, and off-road capability, the new Kanguro captures the essence of freedom and discovery that defined its 1980s predecessor, now enhanced with modern engineering and technology.
Created by the Moto Morini Style Center in Italy, the Kanguro 300 reinterprets the classic silhouette of the original model with sleek, functional lines and balanced proportions. Its design combines nostalgia and innovation, from the sharp, symmetrical headlights with linear DRLs to the low-mounted fuel tank that improves balance and control when riding off-road. A long, flat seat provides freedom of movement, while full LED lighting, switchable ABS, and digital instrumentation ensure a safe and intuitive experience on any terrain.
Powering the Kanguro 300 is a 300cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine producing 34 PS and 27 Nm of torque, offering smooth and responsive performance across a wide rev range. A steel main frame paired with 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels, as well as long-travel suspension (250 mm front and rear), gives the motorcycle genuine off-road credentials while maintaining composure on paved roads.
Two variants are available: the Kanguro 300, ideal for daily rides and light adventure, and the Kanguro 300 Rally, built for riders seeking tougher terrain, featuring a low fender, compact windscreen, and specialized off-road components.
Aimed at a broad range of riders, the Kanguro 300 is A2 license-approved and designed for confidence, comfort, and control. Production is set to begin in the second half of 2026, marking Moto Morini’s bold return to the heart of the adventure segment.
