Honda WN7 electric motorcycle wins the gold iF Design Award
First unveiled at the 2024 EICMA, Honda’s 600cc-equivalent WN7 electric motorcycle has won the Gold Award at the iF Design Award, one of the world’s most prestigious design honors. This is the first time a Honda product has received a Gold Award at the iF Design Award.
“The Honda WN7 was able to win the Gold Award in the Product Design discipline of the world-renowned iF DESIGN AWARD. We are extremely honored to receive the Gold Award for the first time ever,” says Toshinobu Minami, Managing Director, Chief Operating Officer, Design Center, Honda R&D Co., Ltd.
He also added that the award reflects the jury’s recognition of the new values suited to the era of electrification—the joy of riding freely like the wind—considered from both functional and design perspectives; and that Honda will continue developing innovations that inspire and surprise, delivering experiences that expand people’s potential and enjoyment of life.
This “e-bike,” a term commonly used in the Philippines for electric two-wheelers, features a frameless design where the battery doubles as the frame, creating a lightweight and flexible structure. The Honda WN7 produces 68 PS of power and 100 Nm of torque, offering strong yet controlled performance for both city traffic and open-road cruising.
Honda began production of the WN7 in the fourth quarter of 2025. It is currently priced at USD 17,750 or roughly equivalent to PHP 1.07 million. Honda Philippines has yet to announce the official local availability and pricing.
