Honda EV FUN concept e-motorcycle evolves into WN7
Honda’s vision for electric motorcycling is moving from prototype to production. What began as the EV FUN Concept, first revealed at EICMA 2024 and later spotted undergoing tests on Japanese roads earlier this year, has now been confirmed for mass production as the Honda WN7. Production is scheduled to start in late 2025, with the first units arriving at dealerships in early 2026.
The WN7’s name reflects its character: “W” for the project theme Be the Wind, “N” for its naked styling, and “7” for its power class. It retains the slim, futuristic design of the EV FUN while packing real-world usability.
A fixed lithium-ion battery delivers over 130 km of range, with versatile charging options. Riders can use CCS2 automotive-grade rapid charging for a 20–80% top-up in about 30 minutes, or a 6 kVA home wallbox for a full recharge in under three hours.
Performance is a key selling point. The bike weighs 217 kg and uses an 18 kW water-cooled motor, with Honda offering an 11 kW version for A1 licence holders in Europe. Honda frames the WN7’s output as comparable to a 600cc motorcycle, with its 100 Nm of torque closer to a 1000cc machine—figures aimed at giving riders a clear sense of its performance potential.
Other features include a five-inch TFT screen with RoadSync connectivity, EV-specific menus, and full LED lighting.
The WN7 has already undergone testing on European roads, with Honda emphasizing its smooth, quiet ride and vibration-free feel. Pre-orders are already open through Honda’s dealer network, with early customers eligible for exclusive incentives such as a complimentary seat bag. Final technical specifications and pricing will be unveiled at this year’s EICMA in November.
