Voltai introduces itself in the PH with its battery-swapping capable e-scooters
Voltai has officially introduced itself and its first two-wheeled electric vehicle, the AP01, to Philippine industry leaders and fleet operators during an exclusive event at a Cleanfuel station in Pasig City. Designed specifically for local roads, the AP01 comes with a unique battery swapping ecosystem, complemented by a dedicated mobile application.
Attendees from logistics, food and beverage delivery, and ride-hailing sectors experienced firsthand how Voltai’s system works. They test-rode the AP01 while tracking battery health, location, and performance through the app integrated with Google Maps. Participants also demonstrated the vehicle’s quick battery swapping capability, replacing a depleted battery with a fully charged one in minutes—bypassing the longer traditional EV charging process.
Currently in its pilot stage, Voltai has partnered with Cleanfuel and co-living brand MyTown to set up 15 battery swapping stations at their locations. Plans are underway to expand across Metro Manila and nearby provinces next year, along with establishing after-sales support.

Voltai’s business model leases EVs and batteries for a fixed fee, protecting businesses from rising vehicle costs and fuel prices, reducing overall emissions, and minimizing maintenance expenses.
Rahman added, “We’re excited to bring Voltai to the Philippine market, helping fleet operators achieve lower costs, higher efficiency, and reduced emissions without heavy upfront investments.”
