Bajaj Three-wheeler clarifies that its products are not electric three-wheelers
The Metro Manila Council (MMC) through the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has passed a resolution prohibiting the use of e-bikes along major thoroughfares and other types of conveyances. E-bikes is the collective term used for light electric two-wheelers, three-wheelers and four-wheelers.
Though technically banned on certain thoroughfares, the apprehension of e-bikes and its drivers have been postponed until further notice by President Ferdinand “Bong Bong” Marcos, Jr. The President said that more time is needed for the information dissemination of the new MMDA regulation.

Legal rights

Bajaj three-wheelers can use the secondary national highways in the outermost lane or the rightmost portion of the road if the local government unit (LGU) has no designated alternative route in the area under LTO Memo Circular No. 2020-2227.
Licensed drivers
Bajaj Three-wheeler says that drivers who aren’t professional or non-professional license holders are not allowed to drive a Bajaj three-wheeler. Unlike e-trikes, Bajaj three-wheelers require a driver's license to be driven. Drivers must take a theoretical and practical driving course to make for a safer and more knowledgeable driver on the road.
Long distance
Bajaj three-wheeler says that its models can cover more distance vs e-trikes. Unlike e-trikes, which requires 6 hours to as much as 12 hours of recharging from 0% to full, Bajaj three-wheelers are gasoline-powered, which means more kilometers for hauling or commuter business.
