BMW’s R 1300 RT breaks cover
Filipino riders who embraced the arrival of the BMW R 1300 GS in 2023, and then its Adventure sibling, will be interested to hear what’s next from Munich. BMW Motorrad has just announced its newest addition to the 1300 family: the all-new R 1300 RT.
“With the new BMW R 1300 RT, we’ve taken the touring icon from BMW Motorrad to a whole new level,” says Harald Spagl, Project Manager for the BMW R 1300 RT. “It is lighter in design, more accessible and more dynamic than ever before. In addition, with a completely new engine, chassis and aerodynamics, it offers a riding experience that meets the highest demands in this segment in terms of dynamics, comfort and travel capability.”

Highlights
According to BMW Motorrad, the new BMW R 1300 RT follows in the footsteps of its highly successful predecessor and continues to build on the proven qualities of the BMW RT, such as touring capability and riding comfort, alone, as a pair, or with plenty of luggage.
At its core, the R 1300 RT shares the powerful 1,300cc boxer engine with the R 1300 GS and GS Adventure, putting out a solid 145 PS of power and 149 Nm of torque.
Beyond the engine, the new R 1300 RT prioritizes touring comfort with improved rider and pillion ergonomics, an electronically-adjustable windshield, a large and connected TFT screen, USB charging, and expandable luggage options. It also comes equipped with riding modes, a slipper clutch, BMW’s signature EVO Telelever and Paralever suspension, electronically adjustable suspension, ABS, and full-LED lighting for modern convenience and visibility.
Additionally, the all-new R 1300 RT is equipped with smart riding assist features like its active cruise control, front and rear collision warning, and lane change warning.

Also available as an option, the all-new R 1300 RT can be equipped with an Automated Shift Assistant (ASA), which is basically an automatic transmission for select BMW motorcycles. The ASA can be operated in full automatic or manual modes.
The all-new BMW R 1300 RT will be offered in four model variants: Basic, Triple Black, Impulse and Option 719 Camargue.
