LTO Tracker issues solved, more to go
Earlier this month, a fellow rider from the community vented his frustration over the Land Transportation Office’s (LTO) online plate tracking and delivery portal, the LTO Tracker. Curious to see if this was an isolated case or part of a bigger problem, we took a quick look through Facebook to check if other riders were running into the same issues.
True enough, our quick search revealed a frustrating reality: our friend’s problem with the LTO Tracker isn’t an isolated case. In fact, there are likely hundreds of riders dealing with the same headache—paid services with no plates delivered, plates arriving with the wrong details, or confusing and even contradictory instructions from the system.
After we published their story, our friends from the LTO quickly reached out to us, asking for specific details so they could step in and assist the frustrated LTO Tracker users.

Akson on the Spot
Recognizing the urgency, the LTO’s Communications/Central Public Assistance Office (CPAO) team quickly stepped in and requested the details of those featured in the article. Using the screenshots we gathered from various FB groups and individuals, we shared what information was available. The Comms/CPAO then wasted no time in forwarding these to the department in charge of the LTO Tracker for immediate action.
Within the same day, updates confirmed that the plate issues of the individuals mentioned in the article had been addressed. Kannan Sreedevi, the rider whose social media post first brought our attention, as well as to the LTO Tracker issue, said: “GOOD NEWS!!! I have received the Plate number via Courier today. Thanks to MotoPinas for bringing this to the attention and LTO Aksyon on the Spot for coordinating with the concerned departments for the release and delivery. So, the system works!”
He received his motorcycle’s license plate on September 15, or roughly two weeks after their story was published.
To be fair, the LTO Tracker is still new as it only went online last May, so some glitches are to be expected. The LTO says it’s working hard to iron out the issues and reminds motorists that they can reach out to Aksyon on the Spot via SMS or Viber at 0929-292-0865 for assistance. At the end of the day, being able to track plates online is still a big step up from spending hours at an LTO office.
