Burgman Street is king of fuel efficiency at the Suzuki EconoTour Luzon

Suzuki Philippines has wrapped up the Luzon leg of its Burgman EconoTour, underscoring the exceptional fuel economy and comfort of the Burgman Street 125 in both Standard and Executive Class (EX) variants.

The 275-kilometer ride, which took participants from Suzuki Caloocan to Coco’s Beach in Bolinao, Pangasinan, was joined by 136 riders who completed the full route without issue. The maxi-styled scooter demonstrated not only reliability and comfort but also remarkable real-world fuel savings.

Despite wet weather and varied road conditions, riders recorded an average of 70 km/L—a figure that exceeds the official WMTC ratings of 54.9 km/L for the Standard model, and 56.8 km/L for the EX variant. While it didn’t smash the previous record of 94.6 km/L set during the Econo Run 2024, this is still an impressive result that cements the Burgman Street’s reputation as one of the most fuel-efficient scooters in its class.

The event started at 3:00 AM from a Suzuki 3S shop in Caloocan, with riders passing through Suzuki’s Pampanga, Tarlac, and Alaminos 3S Shops before reaching Bolinao by early afternoon. Along the way, participants reported a consistently comfortable ride, thanks to the Burgman’s spacious floorboard, relaxed seating, and stable handling.
