“We are pleased to announce that all four lanes of Marilao Northbound are now passable to vehicles since 1 AM of March 26, 2025, ahead of the projected schedule,” said NLEX Corp. via statement. “While all lanes are now passable, supporting steel poles will remain on the lanes to allow concrete curing of the bridge. With this development, traffic flow in Marilao Northbound is expected to improve and normalize in the next few days.”

The Marilao Interchange Bridge sustained heavy damages on March 19 when it was hit by a truck that exceeded the bridge’s vertical clearance. The truck was able to pass NLEX’s security. Then, on March 21, Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon demanded that NLEX provide a free toll to all affected motorists of the ensuing traffic jam caused by its lane closures.

NLEX Corp. says that the toll holiday from Balintawak to Meycauayan will remain in effect until further notice.
