VinFast cuts PH e-scooter prices by up to PHP 8,000 ahead of launch
Last month, we got hold of the pricing for VinFast’s upcoming electric scooter lineup in the Philippines. At the time, the EVO was priced from PHP 70,000, the Feliz II from PHP 72,400, while the flagship Viper carried a starting price of PHP 81,900.
Now, even before the official launch, VinFast has slashed the prices.
According to VinFast e-Scooters Philippines, the EVO now starts at just PHP 62,900 under the battery subscription program. Buyers who prefer to own the battery can get the scooter with one battery for PHP 75,600, or with two batteries for PHP 88,300.
The Feliz II now starts at PHP 64,900 with the battery subscription plan, while prices increase to PHP 77,600 with one battery and PHP 90,300 with two batteries.
Meanwhile, the range-topping Viper now starts at PHP 73,900 under the subscription program, or PHP 89,600 and PHP 99,300 when purchased with one or two batteries, respectively.
Compared to previous prices, buyers can save as much as PHP 8,000 depending on the model.
But, there’s a catch. VinFast has increased the outright purchase price of its battery packs from PHP 12,700 to PHP 15,800 each. Those opting for the battery subscription plan will also need to pay a PHP 1,000 deposit per battery. Subscription fees, however, remain unchanged at PHP 439 per month for one battery, or PHP 799 per month for two batteries.
VinFast is expected to officially launch the EVO, Feliz II, and Viper in the Philippines this month.
Beyond the scooters themselves, the company is betting heavily on its battery-swapping ecosystem. VinFast says it plans to deploy up to 30,000 battery-swapping stations nationwide. If that rollout goes according to plan, one of the biggest concerns surrounding electric motorcycles, which is range anxiety, could become far less of an issue for Filipino riders.
